The 10 Sexiest Everyday Men of 2008.

Jezebel produces a ‘Sexiest’ list I can actually agree with. I’m down with 7/10 of their choices. And of course, they’ve got Barack* and pocket-sized Rahm Emmanuel, plus some other smart fellas.

What say you, ladies and gents?

*While I’m not feelin’ Barack the way Brokey McP is (link sorta-NSFW), I can see why others do.

SEXY LIST UPDATE: PostBourgie perennial favorite Jay Smooth was listed on Salon.com’s Sexiest Man Living round-up. I can’t say I disagree. (Oh, and Robert Downey Jr. ftw!)

i think they need a more well rounded list…

the first 5 are political figures…democratic ones at that…

  2. shani-o November 20, 2008 at 11:42 am Reply

LF- And which sexy republicans are you thinking of?

  3. rakia November 20, 2008 at 12:03 pm Reply

    Wyatt, yes.
    Justin, no.
    Jason, hell no.
    Rahm & B, yes.
    Ezra, yes.
    Reggie, yes please!
    Nate, maybe.

  4. Grump November 20, 2008 at 12:12 pm Reply

As a guy, I’d add Amy Holmes to my list….

  5. rakia November 20, 2008 at 12:25 pm Reply

Oh, we’re doing women too now. In that case, I’d like to nominate myself. I can do that, right?

  6. Grump November 20, 2008 at 12:41 pm Reply

    I’m sorry Rakia, but I don’t know you….

co-sign on Amy Holmes. She’s beautiful, even if she’s a complete and total hack. She’s useless as a pundit. (or is that redundant?) (and was that a rhyme?)

  8. Grump November 20, 2008 at 1:19 pm Reply

    1) Amy Holmes
    2) Kerry Washington
    3) Eva Longoria(Now that they made her look les glamourous)
    4) Journee Smollet
    5) Janelle Snowden(I didn’t pay attention to her in undergrad)
    6) Sage Steele

I’m coming up short with everyday women

  9. shani-o November 20, 2008 at 1:42 pm Reply

What, Sarah Palin doesn’t make your list, Grump??

Hmm, my list of the sexiest everyday women would probably include

    Michelle Obama
    Kerry Washington
    Rachel McAdams
    Tina Fey
    Ann Curry
    Esperanza Spaulding

    Um…

I have to admit that Barack’s mole kind of bugs me.
    Rahm, okay, yes.
Reggie’s head is a funny shape. No.
Nate, maybe, but not in that pic.
    Ezra, Jason, Justin, no.
Wyatt, based on the picture, yes.
Sasha, based on the picture, no. Looks too much like Chris Kattan doing Mr. Peepers.
This Baby Daylove person who I have never heard of, based on the picture, yes.

I thought they were supposed to be “everyday” people! Movie stars can’t count because they are paid to look good. The only one I disagree with on the list is that Justin kid. Anyone who disagrees with Jason Segall has never seen Forgetting Sarah Marshall. He is adorable. And I don’t know what it is about Nate Silver, but I just want to squeeze him until he pops!

  13. Grump November 20, 2008 at 2:20 pm Reply

I’d add Tina Fey. Padma Lakshmi, too….

  14. rakia November 20, 2008 at 2:33 pm Reply

If I can’t put myself on the list (thx, grump), then I nominate Liz Cho from New York’s ABC news affiliate. Yeah, she’s on tv, but it’s the news so it’s different. She’s quite lovely when she turns the make-up down.

    Also Colson Whitehead.

  15. robynj November 20, 2008 at 2:35 pm Reply

    bitchPhD: cosign on alla that.

quad: After seeing “Forgetting Sarah Marshall” I feel like I’ve seen all I’ll ever need to see from Jason. Yeah… I’ll pass.

  16. quadmoniker November 20, 2008 at 2:39 pm Reply

Robynj: Lol. I guess I think he’s cuddlier than he is sexy.
Colson Whitehead also is very handsome.
Tina Fey doesn’t count as a TV personality because she started as a lowly writer, so I think she’s safe on the list. Padma Lakshmi started life as a professional model as is Salman Rushdie’s wife, so I don’t think she’s allowed on any list with the word “everyday” in the title. Though I’m sure G.D. would agree with you that she belongs on some kind of list.

I would add David Plotz, editor of Slate. I saw a video with him and his wife and he’s tall and seems really sweet.

  17. Grump November 20, 2008 at 3:07 pm Reply

Salman was hitting that? Oh HELLS nah!!!!

  18. shani-o November 20, 2008 at 3:08 pm Reply

I have to throw in Tamron Hall, those two light skin brothas over at CNN – Dan Lemon and T.J. Holmes and I have to shout out my local news babe Adrienne Bankert over at KCRA 3. Good lookin’ on the Amy Holmes name drop. I didn’t know they made foxy conservatives! Okay, since I said that, who’s gonna be the first one to throw Michelle Malkin on their list? Yech!!!

I don’t agree with too many on the list (4/10: Obama, Silver, Segal, and Cenac). They’ve left out everyday Latinos. And I can’t think of too many right now.

  27. Ralph H. Manningfield November 20, 2008 at 4:27 pm Reply

Hey cindylu, what about that stud Rick Sanchez over at CNN?

  28. Grump November 20, 2008 at 4:31 pm Reply

Ralph, I cannot add Ms Hall to this list due to the rampant sexcapades that I have heard from my friends in Chicago, that include her name as one of the main characters.

  29. shani-o November 20, 2008 at 4:41 pm Reply

So Grump, are you saying woman isn’t sexy if she has a lot of sex?

Ralph- KCRA? Where are you? I’m from Stockton.

  30. Grump November 20, 2008 at 5:13 pm Reply

Padma Lakshmi and Tamron Hall are still sexy. But, I cannot list them for the fact that I know who is in their past, which has taken away the possibility of any bliss happening.

Kind of like knowing a chick was married to, or seriously dated, Mike Tyson.

shani-o, I’m in Kevin Johnson Land, Sacramento baby!
