This isn’t even that much of a stretch, since Diff’rent Strokes did regularly go to some very dark places.

    Wow–how disturbing and sinister. An old, single White man going to the ghetto to pick up two small Black boys and take him home to his penthouse… Never thought of it in those terms, but the music sure does put that spin on it.

    It’s like a freaky after school special “Mr. Richman comes to Harlem”.

    Don’t get in the car, don’t shake his hand and whatever you do just say no when he offers you a Blow Pop.
